Lori Lewis is an Account Representative with Residential Warranty Company (RWC).

I met Lori when I was the sales manager for Hansen & Horn, a home builder based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Lori’s company provided our homeowners with an insured warranty on their new home. RWC provided a valuable service to homeowners but Lori went above and beyond her responsibilities as an account representative. Her professionalism and service to our homeowners was so outstanding that Jayson and I have stayed in contact with her after we left Hansen and Horn.
Lori is an active member with the Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis (BAGI) and several other new home builder associations including: the Detroit Metropolitan Building Industry Association, the Greater Grand Rapids HBA and the Southern Indiana HBA.
We still meet up with her at local BAGI events like the Home-A-Rama at the Willows in Zionsville. She took over for me as the golf-cart chauffeur after Jayson and I were done working the front table at the event.
If you have a need for a residential warranty we strongly recommend that you do business with Lori Lewis and RWC.
Jon is the owner and driving force of a custom home building and remodeling company based in Avon, Indiana called Guy Co - The Guy Corporation.
I first met Jon while I was working at Dura Builders, which later was purchased by KB Homes. Jon was the head of construction for Dura and managed all aspects of construction of the 500+ homes built each year in the Indianapolis market. Jon has been active in the building industry for over 22 years. He founded Guy Co in 2003. The same year that Jon was nominated for Builder of the Year by the Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis.
Jon is an expert at creating efficient systems for building new homes. Jon is able to use his systems to enhance his flexibility to deliver new homes when and how his homebuyers and company need them. On one occasion Jon was able to deliver a home from contract to finish in less than 60 days. The home was completed on time without sacrificing any quality.
Another reason Jon has always impressed me is his unwavering commitment to building the best quality new home possible. Jon has always had a strong commitment to complete customer satisfaction. You will see this by the high standards he sets for the materials used in all his homes and the professionalism he demands from his contractors.
If I were to build a new home for my family. I would unquestionably trust Jon Guy and Guy Co to build my new custom home.
Have you ever made a bet with a friend but couldn’t prove you were right to collect your winnings?
Or maybe you are on your way to a friend’s wedding in Panama City and have a sudden urge to know the Mayor of Arkadelphia?
No matter what sparks that inner desire to find answers you can turn to ChaCha. You simply text or call and a trained guide (a real person based in the U.S.) will find your answer online and respond. It doesn’t get any simpler than that. Try it you’ll be an instant fan.
Oh yeah, and the company was founded and created by Scott Jones. He’s the same guy that invented voicemail.
Rob and I provided gourmet cupcakes from The Flying Cupcake to our audience during a presentation to the Builder’s Association of Greater Indianapolis. Countrywide Home Loans provided Jimmy John’s for lunch and we brought the dessert.
We were first turned on to The Flying Cupcake by the real-estate sales team from the Indy Star. They told us about how they provide cupcakes to Realtor offices as a business thank you. So, upon their recommendation, we figured we’d give them a try.
The cupcakes are to die for and the prices are manageable. If you’re looking to do something a little different take a look at what they have to offer. Their menu has cupcakes for many different taste buds.
Seriously, you should try a Flying Cupcake today. But be warned that you’ll probably want another one tomorrow.

It’s official. We’re legit.
We now have the URBaCS logo on polo shirts.
We found a great little embroidery shop in Greenwood, Indiana called Embroidery ‘n Things that provides custom embroidery work at a great value. We called around town and shopped online and chose them because Valerie was the most helpful on the phone.
They let us bring in our own shirts, which we found on sale at Kohl’s, and only charged us $7.50 per shirt to have them embroidered.
The quality is great and Dan and Valerie are nice people. We would recommend them for your embroidery needs.
Justin Hunt is a good friend of mine that works for the Indiana Pacers. He manages the Indiana Fevers’ website and works with Conrad Brunner on Pacers.com.
We worked together on the Marketing and Strategic Planning team and put together a couple of cool projects including an online petition for Katie Douglas and Tamika Catchings to represent Team USA in Beijing. We also built an online voting application for the 2008 Pacemate auditions.
Justin is an expert with Adobe Photoshop and Flash and when he’s not working at Pacers Sports & Entertainment he and his wife Allison run a graphic design company. Check them out at AllisonHunt.com or find out more about Justin at HireJustinHunt.com.

On Monday, September 15, Jayson and I are going to tour Wagner Sign Company with Todd Wagner. While I have known Todd for almost a decade, we’ve been out of touch for a couple of years. During a recent meeting with The Estridge Companies, I was asked if I knew anyone in the sign industry and Todd Wagner was the first person who came to mind.
I first met Todd as a new home sales associate for Paul Shoopman at Dura Builders, before they were bought out by KB Homes. Todd’s company did all of the marketing signs, directional signage and the neighborhood entrances for Dura Builders and I was impressed by the high level of service they provided.

When I took my next position with Hills Communities as a sales manager, I worked with Todd in a much closer capacity. He and his team put together such an impressive marketing sign program for Hills Communities in the Indianapolis market that it was eventually adopted at the national level.
I am excited about introducing Jayson to Todd and taking a fresh look at Wagner Signs’ operations. In the last few months we’ve met with so many new people. It’s nice to reconnect with some old friends as well.

We met Doug at the 2008 Blog Indiana Conference, where they had a live Twitter feed on the projection screens during lunch. It seemed like @douglaskarr was in every fifth tweet. In the world of Indiana Blogging Doug was a celebrity.
I had a chance to chat with Douglas after the first day of the conference and learned a great deal about what makes him tick. He is a technology guru with a background in old-fashioned media (newspapers). He helps people with blogging, search engine optimization, and other social media. He posts on the MarketingTechBlog.com, owns and runs NavyVets.com, and helped found Smaller Indiana, I Choose Indy!, and the Indianapolis Business Book Club.
In our conversations after the conference Doug has always been eager and willing to help us as we grow. He turned us on to FormSpring.com and has provided help with Wordpress Optimization.
If you have any need for Wordpress, Compendium Blogware, SEO, or Social Networking we would strongly recommend you contact Doug. See his full credentials.
